Urban Wheel Award Categories

An independent panel of noted professional journalists and business organizations select the finalists and determine the winners of the awards. The top three finalists in each category are heralded worldwide through a global promotions campaign. The winner in each category is presented an award by a cast of nationally known celebrities.

Awards Categories:
Company of the Year
Several companies will be recognized for leadership in developing vehicle technologies in the area of environmental and oil independence.

Executive of the Year
Three categories include an Asian, Hispanic and African-American individual who has proven success in management, a dedication to furthering diversity, and advancing their company's multicultural goals.

Supplier of the Year
A minority supplier who has demonstrated a record of quality, growth and service to the industry.

Dealer of the Year
A minority dealer who has demonstrated a record of growth and service to the industry.

Urban Car, Truck, and Green Vehicle Awards
Voted on by a panel of 15 automotive journalists who rate the best new, or redesigned vehicles for 2011.

Lifetime Achievement/Pioneer Awards
Given to an individual who has made a lifetime commitment to the auto industry and diversity.
